Welcome to the UBC Wine Research Centre
The Wine Research Center (WRC) is the focal point for grape and wine industry research and education at The University of British Columbia (UBC). Our core mission is to support the development of a sustainable and effective Canadian grape and wine industry through world-class research, excellence in wine education, practical solutions and knowledge mobilization.
The WRC operates across UBC campuses in Vancouver and the Okanagan, where we are headquartered. We conduct cutting-edge research in enology, viticulture, management, and social sciences; provide academic and extended education, and engage with industry and communities on the challenges of wine territory development.
